Terms of Use — Glimmer Design CoLast updated: March 2026
Please read these terms carefully before booking a project with Glimmer Design Co. By paying a deposit or signing a project agreement, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms below.
1. About Glimmer Design CoGlimmer Design Co is a web design studio specialising in Showit website design. All services are provided by Glimmer Design Co ("we," "us," "our"). By engaging our services, you ("the client") agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Project Agreement & BookingA project is confirmed only once:
A signed project agreement has been received, and
The deposit payment has been cleared in full.
Glimmer Design Co reserves the right to decline any project at its discretion prior to confirmation.
3. Payment TermsDeposit: A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure your project start date. This deposit is retained regardless of whether the project proceeds to completion.
Remaining balance: The remaining balance is due on the project launch date or in agreed instalments as outlined in your project agreement.
Late payments: If payment is not received by the agreed due date, Glimmer Design Co reserves the right to pause work until payment is received. Continued late payment may result in project cancellation, with the deposit retained and any work completed to that point invoiced separately.
All prices are in GBP and are exclusive of VAT where applicable.
4. Refund PolicyThe deposit is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.
If a client cancels a project after work has commenced:
Any work completed up to the point of cancellation will be invoiced at the agreed project rate on a pro-rata basis.
Any outstanding balance will be due within 14 days of cancellation.
If Glimmer Design Co is unable to complete a project for reasons within our control, a fair and proportionate refund of any fees paid (excluding the deposit) will be issued.
5. Intellectual Property & OwnershipUpon receipt of final payment in full, ownership of the completed website design transfers to the client. Until that point, all work remains the intellectual property of Glimmer Design Co.
The following are not included in the transfer of ownership and remain the property of Glimmer Design Co at all times:
- Design processes, methodologies, and workflows
- Source files, working files, and design assets not explicitly included in the deliverables
- Any templates, frameworks, or proprietary design systems used in the creation of your site
Third-party assets: The client is responsible for ensuring they hold appropriate licences for any fonts, images, stock photography, or plugins used on their website. Glimmer Design Co will flag any third-party assets used and their licensing requirements.
Portfolio rights: Glimmer Design Co retains the right to feature completed work in our portfolio, case studies, and marketing materials unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to project completion.
6. Client ResponsibilitiesA smooth project depends on both sides. As a client, you agree to:
- Provide all required content (copy, images, logos, brand assets) by the agreed deadline.
- Respond to feedback requests and approval stages within 5 working days.
- Ensure all content provided is owned by you or properly licensed for use.
- Designate a single point of contact for project communication to avoid conflicting feedback.
Project delays caused by the client — including late content delivery or delayed approvals — may result in the project start date or launch date being pushed back. Glimmer Design Co cannot guarantee original timelines where client delays have occurred. If a project is paused for more than 4 weeks due to client inaction, a restart fee may apply.
7. Revisions PolicyYour project includes up to three rounds of revisions, as outlined in your project agreement. A revision round is defined as a consolidated set of feedback submitted in a single document or message.
Revisions are limited to adjustments within the agreed scope of the original design. The following are not included in the revisions policy and will be quoted separately:
- Requests to redesign sections or change the overall design direction after approval
- New pages or functionality not included in the original scope
- Copywriting or content changes (unless a copywriting package was included)
Additional revisions beyond the included rounds will be charged at £150 per hour or quoted as a fixed fee depending on the scope of work.
8. Project Scope & ChangesAny changes to the agreed project scope must be submitted in writing and approved by Glimmer Design Co before work begins. Scope changes may affect the project timeline and will be subject to additional fees.
9. Showit PlatformGlimmer Design Co designs exclusively on the Showit platform. The client is responsible for maintaining their own Showit subscription following handover. Glimmer Design Co is not responsible for any platform changes, outages, or pricing adjustments made by Showit.
10. Limitation of LiabilityGlimmer Design Co's total liability to the client shall not exceed the total fees paid for the project in question. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or loss of earnings claims arising from the use of, or inability to use, the completed website.
11. Governing LawThese terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to These TermsGlimmer Design Co reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your project agreement is the version that applies to your project.
